Gombe Junior Schools are located in Uganda, Wakiso District, Kyengera Town Council at Kikajjo – Nateete village along Nakawuka road just five kilometres from Nateete town. The schools are sitting on three acres of land and they are housed in permanent storied buildings. The schools are behind a perimeter wall and are under 24 hour CCTV surveillance.
The two schools; Gombe Junior School (Boarding) and Gombe Junior School – Kikajjo (Day) are each separately registered by the Ministry of Education and Sports. Gombe Junior School (Boarding) is registered under registration number “PPS/G/107” and UNEB Centre number “538110”. On hand, “Gombe Junior School – Kikajjo” is registered under registration number ““PPS/G/271” and UNED Centre Number “539282”.

We offer a Student-centred learning approach that equips learners with basic skills to enable them become self-sustaining in the competitive world. The learners take the centre stage during the teaching/learning process. All programs are designed & geared towards encouraging learners to be more active than the teacher while the teacher acts as a guide & facilitator. Gombe Junior Schools offer the Uganda National primary school curriculum which cates for both the co-curricular and curricular studies. In addition to the four major subjects of Mathematics, English, Social studies and Science, the school also offers other subjects such as Religious Education and Physical Education. Additionally, the schools also teach Luganda, French and Kiswahili as extra languages.
Under the co-curricular aspect of the curriculum, the schools teach various games and sports such as soccer, netball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, wood ball and others. We also offer a number of indoor games such as table tennis, ludo, chess, scrabble, snakes and ladders and many others.
Gombe Junior Schools have various clubs and societies such as scouting clubs, Happy Kids, MDD, ICT club, Brass band, Guitar, Dance sport and many others.

Two supreme bodies; the Board of Directors and the School Management Committee manage Gombe Junior Schools. Under them is an Executive Chairperson who performs an oversight role in not only the Gombe Junior Schools but all the other schools of Gombe Education Service (GES). The E.C is supported by the Head of Operations as a technical personnel who directly interfaces with staff in the various schools for the smooth running of daily operations.
Each of the two Gombe Junior Schools is led by a Principal who is the head of all daily operations for staff, children, parents and other stakeholders. He is supported by a team of five deputies who oversee daily operations of staff in their respective departments.
Under the deputies are various Heads of department ranging from both academics and co-curricular departments. They are the technical personnel for each subject and co-curricular departments.
Each class is headed by a class teacher who overseas the academics and welfare of learners under his or her stewardship. Subject teachers are each attached to a class and subject / department. At the base of the schools’ organogram are subject teachers and support staff before the student leadership and the general students body.
